Meet your hosts

Tara Manji

Hi, I'm Tara,  an acupuncturist, yoga teacher, women’s health expert and the founder of Aculibrium Acupuncture. My practice integrates ancient wisdom and modern health models to offer personalised care based on individual needs. I hold an Honours degree in acupuncture from The University of Westminster and have 20 years of clinical experience. I'm also a trained vinyasa yoga teacher and a specialist fertility yoga teacher. I strongly believe that “the greatest medicine of all is teaching people not to need it”. In Chinese Medicine, this is known as Yang Sheng or nurturing life. I set up Aculibrium Events  because self care is so sidelined in todays hectic world. As a woman, a mother, a healer, and  the founder of my own business, I know how difficult it is to set time aside to recharge. So I decided to make it easier for all us to embrace the concept of Yang Sheng. I’m really looking forward to connecting and sharing energy, knowledge and GOOD VIBES with you.

I am a feminist, storyteller, writer and performer who loves to play with the ways people experience story. My writing has been published and performed around the world. My work explores the spaces between imagination and memory, often using ritual as a way to access those realms. I’m looking forward to taking you on a journey of self-exploration, sharing some of the writing techniques I’ve developed to give voice to parts of your self that are seeking to be expressed. Together we’ll play, we’ll meander through our senses, we’ll write poetry or prose or lists or letters or whatever else wants to come out…and then if you’re in the mood, I’ll guide you towards tapping into your own unique performance flavour to share them with the gathering in a way that feels true to you.

I have been practicing yoga for two decades and I am a trained Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. For me, yoga is much more than just a physical practice, and I have experienced myself the powerful role yoga can play in impacting your life on many different levels. As such, for me practising and teaching yoga means following a colourful, holistic and transformational path of personal enquiry and growth.

I like to create my classes based on a specific theme and to mix movement, breathwork and meditation to increase both physical and mental wellbeing. Following the Vinyasa style, my classes focus on connecting body, breath and mind in a dynamic but gentle way. I am passionate about making my classes as inclusive as possible, so all levels and age groups are welcome!
